 Biography of Rob Cassels

My father taught me the basics of art at age six.  I had excellent art training in art in junior high school from Phalba Jeanes a very gifted educator.  Thanks to her my interest in art grew greatly.  I learned portrait skills for eight years studying under Bob Bruns in Greenville S. C.  He painted portraits of many local dignitaries and families.I then studied art in Columbia S.C. at the University of S,C.  After that I attended Ringling School of Art in Sarasota Florida.  I met my wife Sherry and moved back to the Greenville S.C. area where I starter my musical career.  I have had over fifty songs published since then released four records and done session playing on many more.  I have had my own business as a piano tuner for 34 years.  Tuned for the Peace Center in Greenville S.C. for over a decade for many international artist.  However my love for art keeps calling me to express my love for the upper South Carolina regions natural beauty.  Life is great and I hope to produce many more regional works for y'all to enjoy.
